Description

The DMC-FZ3 has a 12x optical lens system that is equivalent to 36mm to 432mm in a 35mm film camera. It comprises 13 lenses in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses and boasts F2.8 brightness across the entire zoom range. Plus, the DMC-FZ3 also provides 4x digital zooming (as digital magnification increases, resolution significantly decreases)–combine that with the 12x optical zoom to get up to 48x zoom power for ultra-long-distance telephoto shots.

  • 3-megapixel sensor captures enough detail to create photo-quality 10-by-13-inch enlargements
  • Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens 12x optical zoom lens combines with 4x digital zoom for 48x total zoom
  • MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer keeps low-light and telephoto images sharp; 0.008-second shutter release lag
  • Store images on Secure Digital (SD) memory cards; 8MB SD card included
  • Powered by lithium-ion battery pack (included with charger)

PROS
  • Long zoom lens: The FZ3 has a 12x optical zoom lens, which is longer than many other cameras in its price range. This makes it ideal for capturing distant subjects.
  • Image stabilization: The camera has image stabilization, which helps to reduce blur caused by camera shake when taking photos or videos.
  • Good battery life: The FZ3 has a decent battery life, which means you can take lots of photos without needing to recharge the battery.
  • Good range of shooting modes: The camera offers a range of shooting modes, including aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual mode, which can be useful for more advanced photographers.
  • RAW support: The FZ3 supports RAW files, which can provide more flexibility when editing images.
CONS
  • Limited resolution: The FZ3 has a resolution of only 4 megapixels, which may not be enough for some users who require higher resolution images.
  • No manual focus: The camera does not offer manual focus, which may be a drawback for more advanced photographers who prefer to have more control over their images.
  • Noisy images: The FZ3 may produce noisy images, particularly at higher ISO settings.
  • Limited low light performance: The FZ3 may struggle to produce good quality images in low light conditions, due to its small sensor size.
  • Limited video capabilities: The camera can only record video in 640x480 resolution, which may not be up to par with modern standards.
